Connect Battery

Recently purchased a Glastron Sierra. When I went to connect the battery I noticed that it had two red (positive) wires, to black (negative) wires and one wire that was both red and black. Not sure where this final red/black wire would connect to the battery.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing it's an older used boat? Hard to say why.
Are you sure the black part is part of the cover and not paint?
Still best to trace the wire(s) if you're not sure.

You've led a sheltered life if you haven't run across 2 colors on a single wire. No telling what wire concoctions prior owners have dreamed up.

You'll have to trace the red/black back.

I would chase all the wires befor connacting any of them. The orange one with the electrical tape may be the alternator

The red and black wire looks like it may have been part of a 2 conductor cable (red and black) however who know how the prior owner jerry-rigged the rest of the boat
