Hi, newbie here. I had this boat awhile and hasn't seen much water. I'm fixin to get after it again by replacing the upper and lower outdrive. It has 350 Mag Mercruiser and what I'm sure is a Alpha One. I want to make sure I buy the correct gear ratio which I believe is the 1:47 and the right prop. The prop I have now is a 3-blade but I don't know the pitch. The previous owner used it in a lake to pull tubes and stuff which leads me to believe he may have changed the prop. Just looking for direction on these purchases. Thanks in Advance

Yes you would need a 1.47 ratio. I would start with the prop thats on there and you already own , see where you land in terms of performance and WOT rpm then adjust to suit your needs. Typically expect to see a 19" or 21" three blade on this rig but prop selection is best made after some run time.

How do you intend to use the boat? This will effect what prop type and pitch

Hi, thanks for the reply. Makes sense about choosing the prop after awhile. What RPM should I target? Average type use is mostly A to B with some tubes here and there.

Assuming it is the original engine 4200-4600 rpm. Personally id rather be on the upper end say 4400-4600 rpm, better to be under propped than over propped.
if you are just cruising occasional tubes especially if loaded you may want a four blade for better holeshot and stern lift. Check in after you get wot rpm and speed via gps lots of folks here can guide you on prop selection .
