Anyone have any knowledge of ‘60s Starcraft boats? I have, what I believe is a 15’ Jetstar and would like to know what year it is? Also Im thinking of having it restored! Is it worthwhile? Thanks!

than how do you prove its yours. if you bought it without paperwork, how did the seller prove it was theirs?

Why don’t you help with focussing on my question instead of mansplaining legal terms? It was my dads boat, now it’s mine. I am wondering what year it was built. Pretty simple question.

then go to your fathers registration (would have year) and get it registered in your name

Actually you asked a out worth it, and depending on state, lack of paper work might make it not worth it. So strongly suggest you ask the dmv/dnr in your state. Even if its your dads, transfer to you is usually important.

Guys....reg number on the side starts 36E....nothing stateside that I'm aware of will start that way. Probably Canada or elsewhere.

BUT...that being said...most powerboats need to be registered to the owner so it would be in your best interest to get the paperwork squared away before sinking a dime into it.
