1974 7.5 spark issue

Do you mean a 7.4 Mercruiser?

If so, I would run Champion or AC but that's just my opinion. NGK are fine but I just don't use them. My 1995 7.4 came with Champion and when replaced after 22 years they still look good

Edit: your might be talking about a 7.5hp, and in that case what does the manual show?

No it’s a 1974 mercury 7.5hp thunderbolt I believe. It had ngk’s I figured the champion would better suit? No?
