What Control Box do I need? 8 pin or 10 pin'?

Hello,
New to the Fourstroke Mercury world. Just got a new to me 2004 90hp Mercury four stroke. I need a new side mount control box and throttle/shift cables. ALSO looking for the answer to what "GEN" cables I need Gen1 or Gen1?
I have seen in a few descriptions that 10 pin is from 2005 and newer....is this correct?

Looks like an 8 pin connector. The other wires would be for trim and tilt.

Not sure what cables you need.
