It is an anode !-----Provides protection from corrosion.-----It may require some effort to remove the bearing carrier ( seal housing ) as it appears there has been corrosion.

Ok so I need to put something to loosen the corrosion any brand would be better for aluminum cast or is it the same as with other metal

There has been much discussion on how to deal with jammed parts.----I have my own procedures,-------Put your favorite penetrating oil on it and try to pull it out.

PB Blaster is supposed to be the best for aluminum will try to find some
I usely use Prolab 100
