I have a 90HP Optimax SN 1B363205. It was making a ticking noise that sounded like it was coming from my air compressor. I took off the compressor and everything seemed to be fine. There was not any wear inside or metal shavings. I am not sure if one of the compression rings was broken previously or if I broke it when I took out the piston for inspection. Nevertheless, I am in need of a set of compression rings, and I can't seem to find anywhere to buy them. All places that I can find that sell parts state "not sold separately". Not sure what I need to do. I sure don't want to buy a whole compressor when nothing is wrong with the one that I have.
If anybody can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Likely find parts on E-bay.----Just another reason why I dislike high tech motors.-----Great when they run.----Nobody wants to fix , maintain and support this stuff.

look on craigslist, plenty of opti's being cannibalized for parts. Just make sure the compressor you get was not the one that made it blow up!
