Alpha 1 gen 1 water hose

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if there is a pre-formed version of the 5/8" gen-1 transom-to-bell housing hose available anywhere? I have the 3/4" preformed hose but I think it's really for Gen2, and I don't like the idea of squishing it down that much with hose clamps. I also have the straight 5/8" version which fits the nipples properly. It seems like it's likely to kink when installed. All the offerings I see for this hose (32-32461) show it as a straight hose. Pretty sure the original was pre-formed. Am I wrong? I also seem to remember replacing the hose many years ago with a pre-formed one. Thanks for insights.

Ayuh,..... The straight hose works perfectly, so long as you pay attention to it's spine, so to speak,....(it's natural curve)

I just rebuilt my Gen 1 last year and bought the kit from Quicksilver. It had the pre-formed hose in it. Part number 30-803097T 1. Pics showed the straight hose, but it came with both straight and pre-formed hoses, and I used the pre-formed one.

It looks to me like the reason you get two in the kits is to provide both the 5/8 and 3/4 inch versions. Both of these hoses are listed as provided in the kit mentioned. Only the 3/4" hose is preformed. I think I'm gonna stay with the 5/8" hose. I just don't like the sloppy fit of the 3/4.
