hi, i have a 2004 140 hp merc.

it seems to be heating up only on the starboard bank of the block.
all has been changed inc water pump and impellor.
taking off the thermo housing while running plenty of water is being pumped.
don't know why only one side is the problem.

If its a V6 you have thermostats at the top rear of each side water jacket cover.....2 each. The starboard side is probably stuck shut....it happens BTDT with a stuck stat, on an inline 3 cyl. 90 hp.

Can't think what engine this could be. a 140 mercury from 2004 and a v engine ? any more details ? thanks
