I have removed my outdrive to replace the bellows and replace the control cable. I noticed the hose connector https://www.amazon.com/Sierra-International-18-2777-Thermostat-Housing/dp/B0000AYZDS was corroded and I will be replacing that as well I am curious if I need to use any type of sealant on the hose connector?

In terms of putting the outdrive on I expect it's going to be a PITA getting the drive slid back onto the drive shaft I'll take any free advice if you have it!

Happy monday!

no, that little white metal gem will corrode every 2 years regardless of what you do. it is sealed to the pivot tube with the gasket

have small hands to reach in along the u-joints to turn the shaft a bit and guide it in. do not wear flip-flops and drop the drive on your toe (BTDT)
