Not necessarily. If there was water in there wouldn't it be noticeable out the exhaust.
Depends on what's failed. If that's the issue is it repairable?
Here's a pic of spark plugs that had 1 run on them for about half hour in the river yesterday...varied speed and rpm.
So its no longer locked up now? be careful not to snap the bolt of the crank ...Cant imagine being leen for short period of time would lock it up though..I spun it back and.forth about 10 times with crank bolt and no water in any that I can see
There is always water in the exhaust in a marine application. If you get enough water into a cylinder since water doesn't compress it can lock an engine up even bending rods. I think it is more typically seen after shutoff water leaking in exhaust manifolds/elbows or cracked heads leak into cylinder, on next start piston comes up, engine gets locked as water wont compress... Easy thing to rule out if it is locked up.If there was water in there wouldn't it be noticeable out the exhaust. If that's the issue is it repairable?
Sorry what I meant about wayer in the exhaust I meant white smoke like a head gasket issueYa it's locked up...not fully like I can go all the way clockwise till it hits something...the counter clockwise till it hits again...
you wont notice the water that's not supposed to be in the exhaust from the water that is supposed to be in the exhaust (cooling water exit to overboard goes in exhaust )Sorry what I meant about wayer in the exhaust I meant white smoke like a head gasket issue
Looks like you got a bum rebuild...Ya it's locked up...not fully like I can go all the way clockwise till it hits something...the counter clockwise till it hits again...
Even under warranty, my curiousity would have me pulling the valve covers...Looks like you got a bum rebuild...
