Hello!

Finally got my 3.0 up and running, and we smoked the out drive on the first big fishing trip since putting the motor back in.

Opened it up, and it's been on its way out for a while. Rusted bearings, shot gears, the works. Probably my fault, but I digress.

Currently running an old school MC-1. I've read through the forums here, but not sure I'm finding a definitive answer.

Will an Alpha 1 Gen 1 lower bolt up to my early style MC-1 bell housing / gimbal assembly?

Is the proper drive ratio for a 3.0 the 1.94 gearset?

Looking at just putting a new Sterndrive Engineering 106 on and calling it a day, but want to make sure it will fit before I shell out $1900.

Yes. But you'll need the short input yoke.
