I have noticed that I get water in my cuddy at my boat slip when it rains. I cannot seem to locate where it is coming from. I have a 2001 290 Outrage. Any ideas?

Look at your foredeck, any windows, and deck penetration, etc

I checked the windows and nothing. I walked the deck and didnt notice anything but I don't think I would see any deck penetration anyways. But I do notice that this only happens when it rains.

Have you recaulked? Especially a slipped boat.

Normal maintenance requires periodic recaulking, sealing, etc.

Have you re-water-proofed your canvas?

Your cabin floor is lower than the stern. I have the same problem on my 1998 Bayliner 1802 ,

Have you been in there when its raining hard?

I didn't know where a visible leak-from-rain existed in the cabin of our 1998 24 ft little cruiser. Rain started one night while in there, saw the leakage. Yep gotta replace/reseal/repair the hatch's clamp levers' screw guides. Until then, a small bucket in the right place when we leave the boat, keeps the few drops managed. It's way down the list now, we use the boat a lot, or it's in inside storage (like now, boo).

Best bet is to sit inside when it rains with a flashlight and see where it is comming from, otherwise we are just guessing !!
