2.3 Mallory Distributor Advance

[88 Capri (2022 SOTY)]

I acquired another distributor and noticed the springs are much lighter and advance stop is totally different than the one in my engine currently.
Being the same distributor why would these be different?
The second picture is what is currently in the engine.

Out of curiosity what would the different spring affect,
I've never worked on this aspect of a distributor.
