Looking for direction on installing a fresh water flush kit on a 2007, 24ft Rinker, deep V with a Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI. There's a larger red hose , maybe 1 1/4 inch ID, that runs along the lower starboard side of the engine. I'm guessing that it runs from the transom to the water pump? Is that the correct hose to splice a y-tee into for the flush kit. It's difficult to see where the hoses are going as the compartment is small. Any help is appreciated. There are also 5/8 and 3/4 inch hoses so I want to insure I'm installing it on the correct hose.

flush kit depends on the type of drive you have

Alpha or Bravo?

Then yes hose up from drive to water pump is where you put the at fitting. Would get a kit made of metal. My buddy had one of the plastic ones on his 7.4 / bravo 3 it cracked under way, luckily close to marina as it was filling the bilge with water… so he was taking on water , engine was overheating, luckily marinas sling lift was available at drop of hat… could have sunk

Thanks for the info on the plastic fitting. I will definitely find a metal one. I know that I need to install the y-tee between the outdrive and the water pump but I was wondering if the larger (I believe 1 1/4 inch) hose is the correct one or is there another that I'm not seeing? The boat is 1400 miles away in Florida and I cannot currently take a look closer. I'm going to be working on it next month for a few days and want to fly down there with the right parts.

They make the ones with a check ball tht keeps water from going out the drive when a hose is attached, but I would like ball valves. Either 2 on 2 in one like the webstone

Yes that would be it. There will only be one supply hose coming up. Would think only complication could be if u have a cool fuel set up in line
