Due to my last job I did not get to use it and it has been covered since.
Uncovered and washed last fall and new cover put on.
See if I'm missing anything...

New battery
Drain fuel
Clean carbs
Service gear case
Impeller change
pull prop and grease everything.
Checked all lights and gauges and they still worked last fall.

Thinking this should get me up and going unless anyone sees that I'm missing something! 175 Johnson outboard.

Kill the mice and critters

Repair what they damaged

Service the wheel bearings

Plus the stuff on your list
Hopefully no critters...It looked good last fall when I put another cover on.
Yep,getting new tires so good time to repack the bearings!
My steering is stiff so I have a feeling it needs replaced....ugh!
Thanks!

Johnson 175 outboard....1981 model. I bought a new fuel line and primer bulb.
I meant to add that! Thanks!

Replace the tires. STs are way past their service life, no matter what they look like.

After 7 years in storage, I would be looking at replacing all the fuel lines inside the motor, grease everything that can be greased. Don't forget the trailer, winch strap, tires, wheel bearings, trailer lights, lube the coupler. Electrical connections from motor, battery etc. Might also clean and give a protective coating of all the vinyl on the boat.

Change every fuel line on the boat, including the fill.. the most overlooked, problematic piece of hose on the boat.

Fill and vent hoses were replaced right before parking it.
It had the original 1981 fill hose!
I will pull the inspection cover and see how they look...That fill hose was a nightmare to change!
Also replaced tank and sending unit at that time and added a screw on fuel filter in the bilge.

Lights all work! Yay!...lol! Winch strap is a good idea I forgot about.
Seats are wrapped up in the garage..
No carpet in this boat that is good!
Tested all gauges a few months ago and was shocked the trim gauge still works!
Everything electrical on the engine and to the dash was replaced about 7-8 years ago so hopefully no issues there.
New starter, coils, plug wires, and ignition was replaced with CDI..
Stored with full fuel tank so I guess I have 60 gallons of weed killer to pump out...lol!

I would pressure test the lower unit to ensure seals are ok. If it doesnt hold pressure reseal it before putting it in the water.

Not sure what boat it is in or if it was stored inside would make sure transom and stringers (if FG not aluminum) are in good shape and not rotted

Thanks! It has been covered or under a carport the whole time..
Fiberglass floor with no carpet and everything feels solid..
I do have a pressure tester for the gear case and will test it when I drain the lube..
Transom is made of Seacast composite when I restored it about 10 years ago..
