Port side trim tab has no response.
Testing shows no voltage from switch on port side. Stbd working normally.
When I swap Port/stbd cables at stern if boat neither works.
So, to me it appears both Port switch and port actuator are faulty. Boat is clean and dry and connections look to be in good shape. Reported to be working normally a month or so ago.

So question is, is it possible a bad actuator has caused switch to fail also (or vise versa)? Is this something anyone else has come across? I don't normally believe in coincidence, when it comes to stuff like this.

Both switch's share power via a jumper on the switch. If you connect port actuator to starboard feed and it doesn't work the actuator is fried. Not likely, but possible the dead short in the actuator burnt a contact in the switch.

Remove power from circuit. Check for continuity through the switches.
