Genuine marine circulating pumps have cast iron impellers and stainless steel backing plates some even have bronze impellers. Automotive style have stamped steel impellers with plain steel rear covers. If your engine is fresh water cooled with coolant then the automotive would hold up. If your engine is raw water cooled the automotive pump will not hold up and when the impeller rusts away you will start having heating problems.

like Kenny said, the marine water pump is designed for marine use. unless you rebuilt the motor and changed the AQ271 over to heat exchanged cooling, that pump will fail in a short bit of time.
