Rain water getting into front of boat (Sea Ray 180)

I'm in the midst of redoing the passenger front seat because the back of the seat was rotted, it looks like when it rains in runs down the window, then under the bow cover and in behind the seat.

I've added these J gutters from amazon that helped greatly in catching the water coming down the window and directing it away from the front opening. I don't think its a problem with water soaking through the cover because I used the waterproofing on the main cover (runs from top of window all the way to back) and the floor under the main cover is dry.

There's only 2 spots that I can see where the water would come in but I dont know how i would seal them up.

Best solution I have seen is get a cover made that goes from bow to stern all of these two piece covers leak

a neighbor did that for same reason , covers the windshield now zero leaks

i see that but it looks like all of those one piece covers are meant to use it while on the trailer, is there a certain keyword I should search for where I would find a cover that goes on the boat when its in the water?

what I am talking about is having a shop make a custom cover that uses the existing snap locations not A universal fit cover

My Chaparral covers made of Sunbrella. Have never leaked in 23 years. At the dock all summer.
Its not the material so much but rather the way the bow piece fits against the windshield area. Almost like roofing from a flashing perspective its dumb...

Its the same on my 2004 Sea Ray 200. My neighbor/good friend had a similar size vintage Fourwinns that had the same issue, when he spoke to the upholstery guy who made the new cover one piece completely covers the windshield and no water can run in there.

The OP the gutters are a good idea. the custom covers are expensive but having that same design on my boat I would think investing in a good custom made cover is best option. I got a awning for my hoist years back so its a moot point I only use the cover as a dust cover for winter storage (inside)

I actually stood out in the rain just to see how effective the waterproofing treatment and j gutters were and they work pretty well, the majority of the rain that rolls down the windshield gets caught by the gutters and directed off the side of the boat and the water proofing is beading it off. Just gotta go in the boat one day and have someone hose it to see where its getting in.

We have had a couple that leaked for customers. All the hosing in the world would not show leaks. So when it Raines for a day we checked them. Now we found the leaks!
