Mid-Chesapeake Bay to the Atlantic beaches.

Assateague is infamous for its mosquitos at night and its green head and biting flies during the day. A westerly wind blows them out of the back waters, right on top of you.

No-see-ums are a problem anywhere rock mets tide water, ie rock reinforced inlets.

Not horrible at high tide, but combine low light with low tide and they will eat you alive

Man that's awful.. I would hate fish in that..
