So here’s how my concrete is being used. I haven’t touched the outboard since my last post about it back in April. Getting this shop finished up took all my time. I do have the proper pair of long reach snap ring pliers on order to get the gear case apart. Shop is pretty much done with the exception of a heater. Been lucky we’ve had a really mild winter until just a week or two ago. By next winter I’ll have a heater and the inside of the roof insulatedUm yeah , sorta had a few delays , maybe soonto bloody lazy

Not sure the moderators will let this roll but nice job on the shop...should definitely be all kinds of fun when done.So here’s how my concrete is being used. Thanks! In the photo above from April I had a pair of long snap ring pliers that I borrowed from work. I had to make some extensions and was able to get those snap rings out of the broken blue gear case but for the life of me I couldn’t get them out of the white replacement unit. I was telling my buddy about it a couple weeks ago. He was a Mercury marine tech for 30 years and he said he was going to order the proper tool for me. What a guy huh? I haven’t seen it yet. I hope it works better than what I was using. Not sure the moderators will let this roll but nice job on the shop...should definitely be all kinds of fun when done.
Being winter moderators are being pretty kind.
Thanks for the report.
OP can “reopen” an old thread … so no problem with it at all.Not sure the moderators will let this roll but nice job on the shop...should definitely be all kinds of fun when done.

Or an old restored one.A new outboard would look " proper " in a shop like that.
If there were a new outboard, there would probably not be a new shop. LOLA new outboard would look " proper " in a shop like that.
