Some of that good old stuff is making a come back . The vinyl boys are going retro on their gear too . Its getting hard to find a decent quality old turn table here now and an equivalent new one can set you back thousands .
My Denon amps and CD player must be getting on 40 years now.

This is so true😂
Years ago my buddy and I were catching these massive stingrays off the beach. We never did land one they always broke the line but every time my buddy told the story those rays grew in size. 😂

Looks like the Woodrow Wilson bridge on the Capitol Beltway.

Lots a big, Blue catfish in the area

Only thing worst is seeing it before it broke off…

Just bought my 84 year old dad the new waylon in vinyl and he has some old realistic brand stuff....
I have some vinyl but am still working on the turn table ( not very hard tho ) . I have an old Garand that my Dad had modified so it would fit into joinery on our new home ( in 1978.....and it was probly 20 years old then ) so I have to figure out a way of mounting it , and that can make or break a good tt.
havent times changed ........my neibours are giving me jyp because Im still using CD's .... and DVD's.
Its 8 am , suns out , no wind and the cheeky kid next door is about 6 trout up on me so Im going to the river :):)

I know what you mean.

Lost an umbrella rig with three of my favorite swimmers and two weighted spoons a couple months ago. Snagged trolling on a tree about 25 feet down. We could see them pulled the boat backwards with the rod all the way to the tree. Couldn't get them to come loose for the life of me from any angle.

Was bummed until I caught a big striper further down river.

Still wish I could have saved them. Can't find those swimmers anywhere now.

Absolutely , specially if you have had it so long they dont make them any more ( Jensen insect spinner )View attachment 413248The one on the left isnt attached to the line , just there to see . The rod and reel are Temu specials and so far Im happy . the reel is a 1000 size ( the paper envelope is A4 for scale )
Saw those on temu the other day when looking for set ups for the fake grandkids. Almost pulled the trigger but went ebay for the Ron popeil pocket fisherman....

I have never seen those for sale here ( doesnt mean they are not ) but they look the biz for kids when there isnt to much distance involved.......be a lot less hooks in ear lobes or poked out eyes than if they're waving a 5 foot rod round .
I think those kids are lucky to have you around
