We like to visit a train museum in York once every few years, they have a few famous old trains like Fying Scotsman and Mallard, I'm most interested in the cutaway views through the boilers of some old engines. https://www.railwaymuseum.org.uk/

They used to have a Spitfire suppoerted on a pole outside.

Also a few years ago I took my daughter for a ride up the river through York not knowing there was going to be a low level flyover by a Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster bomber.
I had to do a double take at the Mallard and Flying Scotsman ......but then I realised your in the UK ?😁
I not long ago won a bottle of scotch whilst watching Bradley ,the question was "what was the fastest steam train " and all the dummies went for the Scotsman . I dont like whiskey.
Christchurch airport used to have a warbird on a pole outside the airport , cant remember what it was .......I think the earthquake got it .

Yes I'm in a small town in the UK around 30 miles from York and the museum I mentioned.

Occasionally Flying Scotsman gets used for commemorative / nostalgia / special events, when it does it sometimes comes through this town. I'd forgotten it was built around 10 miles from here in Doncaster.

I was racking my brain trying to think of a train museum in York and planning a trip there soon … York, Pennsylvania, that is. I was coming up with nothing! LOL! UK … makes sense … never mind … LOL!

My daughter in law is from Lafeyette, Louisiana, she lives here now with my son. Her aunt (also from Lafeyette) is here visiting over Christmas, they all stayed in a hotel in York a couple of nights but didn't visit the train museum.
