Nooooo!!!!! So much work getting that in. Taking one cabinet out is annoying, but not a big deal. Any alterations to the cabinet fitment would just ruin the nice straight line. It's the one all the way to the right.

What about cutting floor to drop? Assuming 3/4" subfloor or even at half. Cut that out, sister on new wood to existing joists so that new subfloor is flush with top of joints.

That job's done. It was just 5 screws and popping off some trim. Then just filling the holes with 2 coats of mud, sand and paint. Also touched up several other spots that got roughed up and hung the paper towel rack.

What sort of fish would you expect to find there Joe?
I have just seen my 1st red fin perch in our river .....not sure how to feel , invasive species an all that but they aint so bad and its something different to catch .....not very big tho , like maybe 8" . Apparently they do get bigger as they get established in an area, and supposedly not a bad nosebag too .

Ive been out of the US enough and have read the economist for about 30 years so I thought I was close. Plus I have a kiwi 'brother' I've never met but we are currently trying for a 2027 meet in either Scotland or Finland.

Google says its a combination of poetry and comedy but what do they know ? I thought of it just before I typed it ......its buggin the 5hit outa me now where I heard it .
Scotland or Finland , thats a hard one , both of them eat some disgusting stuff , both are far from tropical . If your not into getting pissed, starting a brawl and waking up in a hedge (likely if your with a Kiwi ).....yeah probly not Scotland aye. I think in Finland you gotta rally drive everywhere .......and they got the Dudesons . They drink lager and the LonKero so yay

Oh i'm all about getting pissed, too old to fight and waking up in a hedge still quite likely.

If we can make it happen here are some details and it's all quite international.

He is a kiwi married to a fin, living down under visits her family every couple three years.

I have danish family, most about 40 km from Germany, we go every few years.

Longer part is about 14 years ago my mother in law had a Japanese family move in next door with a toddler who would come to her house for snacks and reading every day so he learned English from her. They moved back to Japan a few years back and visited most every year but just recently he took a job in the UK at a border town to Scotland. Interestingly it is the same company that my Russian next door neighbor works for....

So I've always been into Scotland, even as a kid I used to dream about visiting the castles. My last name, mckeehan, was always told to me was Irish (adopted) but as ive aged and we now have Google it appears that is more probably to be a Scottish name. Ive even got a kilt. It feels very universe fulfilling.

Throw in a curveball there is another mate that I met in the same boat forum. Met him several times over the years. He is a white bread American from Connecticut but currently living on a boat in ft Lauderdale and he and his wife are planning to move to Ireland by then.

So all the spokes of that wheel probably come together in the UK somewhere in 2027 then we disperse to final destinations.

The forum and another person that drew us all together are both now defunct, unfortunately we lost endo about ten years ago but the friendships that developed remain strong and 'welcoming in the stranger from other lands' can truly enlarge your family.

Ive met probably a hundred people from boat forums over the years when I traveled for work. When I lost Richard I realized that my motto is very true..... never, ever pass up a chance to meet a friend (family) you didn't know you had.

That's enough deep thought for the morning, im gonna fix a gin on the rocks for my breakfast appetizer.

I had to Google 'Nosebag', I know a bit of Cockney rhyming slang but not as much as a Cockney / Londoner because I'm in the North a long way from London. Seems like the kind of thing that might be said in an old comedy series like 'Only Fools And Horses' or 'Til Death Us Do Part'.

A stand up comedian called Michael McIntyre did a good sketch about the Scots.

If there are Scots here they might have a better idea than me but Glasgow used to be a rough city, some rough places like that around here in the North of England too though. Heh my dad told me that when my great grandad was younger he used to go out for a drink with friends, they each took equal money and bought in rounds, at the end of the night they fought and the winner won the 'prize' money which was the cash the others still had in their pockets.
