IMG_1843.jpegGuess these guys shoulda pulled their boats…they are commercial fishermen from what I’ve seen, the harbor hasn’t frozen like this in at least 10 years.

plowing boat ramps is common place for those that live in northern states. how else do you get out on the ice to go ice fishing or snowmobiling

Years back I saw 2 guys in a small fishing boat, the ice wasn't thick like this, one guy on the bow was breaking the ice and the other was gunning the outboard! and they made it out to the bay from the location in my pix.

Dad's pulled boats in weather like that. Climb on the ice, drop through, repeat. You get a 45 degree day you have to go out. Usually south shore though.

We plow the ramps until the ice is too thick to break and get the boat out on the lake ...
