The real key to a good cover is to keep it taught. Poles, tubes, snaps what ever it needs so no pools or puddles can developed. Covers are designed to shed water, not collect it.

more or less the plan. I'm going to build 2 bows for the bow railing and that should take care of it.

Don't be afraid to modify after a good rain let's you see how well it sheds.
The one I currently use, 2 beach balls are sufficient for the bow. We're in the middle of a long drought so maybe it'll just never rain again.

Late to the party.

Sew herself or buy stock. Your call

Either way you want to run ropes from the bow eye, usually then thru the front cleats, crossed over the winshield to the rear ski loops.

Fill milk jugs or make small (one gallon) concrete weights with an eye hook to hang off the edges.

Then get at least one of these

I mean its like you were... busy or something.

I was actually thinking a dehumidifier under the cover and run the tube out the garboard. Kill two birds with one stone. Circulate air and remove the moisture.

Because of the tall bow rail I have to go up and over that. Most of the time with covers this results in little pitch for me. (Bow rail is about 4 inches lower at nose than windshield.) I get by with 2 beach balls or a pool cover pillow laying on the bow. 2 small arches may be more effective in my case vs straps.

The carver I ordered uses belly straps that go side to side. I have a similar cover on the camper and it works well. I think I'll be happy with this.
