Wonder how many less pages this thread would be with out all the what ever this is.............

It started off as an in depth look into what it will take to change from I/O to OB. Who ever looks at it now/later will mostly see what ever sticks on the wall and not so much as the real work it took to make it happen

Wait... I thought goop was goop?

Kidding aside, there is more complex thought in the last 10 posts than my entire engineering department at work is capable of...

where did this term bog come from. never heard that used.
Australian and British car guys called it bog starting about 70 years ago .....It's also the term for the toilet or crapper. Because well.....2-part fillers have the consistency of cow dung

Flatness has been achieved . . .

I mixed up the goop (assorted fiberglass stands, VE resin, adhesive filler) and used the 1" Coosa pieces to form a flat surface. Clamped in place and heated for curing.

I'll need to do some finishing/fairing around the edges. but the engine mount surfaces are flat.

I tried my hand at the VE fairing compound . . . It is a work in progress.

I'm not sure I have the patience to do fairing compound, but we'll see.

I got a final reading on the transom thickness, now that I have given them flatness.

No worries there . . . I just wouldn't want to be the one who has to drill the mounting studs . . . :ROFLMAO:

Whenever my brother and I do a project, especially as a team, we cackle about the poor son of a b that will have to undo or work thru it. Unfortunately we both have reworked our own work and we call each other and b,tch about it.

Could always have the admiral help you. Didn't she do bathroom remodeling earlier this year.

It's just like mudding drywall
