Does anybody have any suggestions on getting a floorboard up thats over the gas tank on a 2012 Alumacraft Competitor? I need to replace my fuel sender but cant access it till I get the board up. I have removed the screws but it fits so tightly I cant get it started to come up. I have tried putting a paint scraper in the slot to no avail. Its never been up before. Ideas? Thank you.

Its vinyl floor and no I didnt miss any screws. Its never been up before. Wonder if Alumacraft uses some kind of sealant? Which I doubt since they know it has to come up.

Most likely zip screws were used

Once all the fasteners are out of the floor, it will just raise up. But pretty sure the vinyl must be removed to get access to the screws in the floor

would you be able to show me a pic of what you mean by self tappers with grips? Im not following. Thanks
Self tappers in the floor and vice grips.

Not for the center section over the gas tank. Those are always wrapped in vinyl first, then screwed down. Usually with the large head stainless screws.

It's probably a combination of tight fit and some glue on the supports when it was set in place.
