my BIL raises goats for market. When one goes 'bad' he put in the tractor bucket and takes to the 'graveyard' in the woods. Walking around there at sunset is pretty creepy.

gonna have to get a camera out back towards the river.

So far in about 30 days:

otter
ground hog
Pileated Woodpecker (and a sh.t ton of other birds- merlin cant keep up)
'tree rats'
three diff breeds of geese
mallard pair
stray orange cat
deer in our yard and on the island (five is most at once)
raccoon
possum
armadillo
green snake of some sort (let him be it was a warm but early spring day so he needed the sun)
Skinks everywhere, replacing deck so less moisture for them hope they hang around to control the ants

oh, and chiggers. Have not had them this bad since i lived in MO. Hoping new deck and a couple trees out reduce their habitat a bit.

Hung a stand and one of my cams right next to it on a 400 acre property about 12 miles from home on Monday morning. Didn’t take long for some pastrami to walk past.
I have one doe that keeps tripping my cam..... Fawns should start showing up.

Our development is being overrun by rabbits ... wife is having a fit about her flowers ... too many houses built up now to hit them with the .22. Might have to get the bow out, but then I run the risk of an errant shot and the bunny takes my arrow through the development getting the neighbors upset. Maybe it is time for a pellet gun purchase ...
