Does this finish hold up in saltwater usage, if rinsed after usage? Another boater recommended SS caliper with hardware and rotor both having the dacromet finish. This combination is about 1/2 cost of all SS parts.

I do saltwater only and my breaks are dacromet. They hold up to the salt but I do have a sprayer with freshwater and spray the brakes after I launch the boat. I only fish during the week so I'm not holding up other people launching their boats.

In Pensacola it is impossible to get a parking space for trailer after 6am on weekends. I try to limit fishing to weekdays as well. Thanks!!!

The dacromat costing in the disc area is gone the first week you use them. Make sure you run ceramic pads.

My first two sets of dacromat calipers lasted roughly 5 years each. Switched to Kodaguard this go round

Same here in southern cal, I gave up fishing on weekends and dealing with the launch ramp/people issues. Just one more advantage of being retired.
