Chipmunks in the retaining wall, and raccoons digging up every single turtle nest. Have you rodents not learned from the squirrels? I have special skills I will hunt and kill you all. Baba Yaga has the guns loaded the traps set, night vision charged, security cameras notification all set to immediate. We do not live trap it is a kill zone.

Years back we had a woodstove with a few cord of wood stacked in the back yard. Chipmunks made the wood pile into a resort hotel. It sat just 25 yards from my enclosed back porch.....perfect to snipe chippers with my air rifle ! Many them little dudes are fast and make very formidable targets !

Chipmunks are really dumb/curious creatures took less than 24 hours to get 4 culled. Now on to the raccoon. I would prefer a 7" conibear set up in a box and end it instantly but can not have innocents like feral cats being trapped so live trap it is.

Depending on the size, racoons may need more than a .22 to the head unless you are running LRHPs even then its iffy.

Nope no 22 I have a 22 but it is in a closet. My options are 410, 20 gauge, 45 acp or buckshot and brass from the judge. I am going with the 20 gauge at close range. I am 60 now think nothing of the old man in his underpants and crocs wearing a head lamp out in his yard at 3 am blazing away.

Funny up here in the country people have a different attitude about vermin and dealing with the situation. 2 hardware stores I stopped at to get the live trap were well aware of the golden malrin recipe, one was a man and one was a woman. It works but that is the nuclear option.
