Can anyone help me with removing a flywheel?

I’ve got a Johnson 25R70E and it’s not getting spark. I decided to remove the flywheel and check the points etc. but I cannot get the flywheel off. I’ve got a puller and tightened it as much as I can as well as used PB blaster, an impact, ball peen hammer, and even a blow torch. It’s not budging. Is there something I maybe missed? A secret nut or bolt I don’t know about? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

soak soak soak .
if heat does not work try freezing... a keyboard dust spray can.....can cool things down fast A can from a dollar store will shoot pure spray held upside down and should help... spray the bolt only then heat up the FW fast to create a shock....try puller while heating the FW surroundings .

or a teflon spray may have better capillary effect to soak the threads .

Steering wheel puller, impact or hand wrench very tight. One big smack gets mine Everytime. Big hammer.

Hammering on a Flywheel/Crankshaft is NEVER Good Idea.
Thermal Shock might work, though heating the Flywheel can create other problems, there are Magnets in there, and their Positioning can be disturbed if the Flywheel warms up, resulting in Contact with the C

I would leave it under Tension, and check it every few Hours to see if it can be tightened some more

I wonder if someone had it off in the Past, and Over Torqued the Nut when putting it back together?.. That would also ruin the Flywheel

If the nut was tightened too much , you end up with the flywheel taper stretched well over the crank taper.----Factory puller and a bump with a hefty hammer pops them off.-----Release agents do not help here.

This is the puller I’ve got on it. Ive been trying to get it off for about a week now. I’ve left it on there overnight for multiple nights. Tried tightening it as much as possible. Used almost a whole can of pb blaster. Tried what one guy said about freezing the crankshaft and heating the flywheel. Not budged at all. It was a free motor from my wife’s grandfather that sat probably 10 years so while I don’t want to break anything, it doesn’t run right now and if I break the flywheel I’m not out anything.

Don't know what type of puller you are using but if you can tighten it with an impact wrench it seems to almost always work for me. Also a good rap on the puller with a hammer. Each transmits the shock to the flywheel to break the bond. I know sometimes to remove a prop on a Navy ship after rigging the hydraulic puller detonating cord wrapped in the right place will cause enough shock to free it but that procedure may be risky in your garage.

Purchased about 5 outboards and the frustrated seller complained it had a locked flywheel.

All came off in minutes.

Well, I tightened the puller as much as I could and it broke the flywheel off. Any suggestions from here?

Post a picture of the threads on the crankshaft.----Starting to look expensive and time consuming.
