Is it just an optical illusion or does the extension have a slight hook to it?

And you don't see that side anyway! Looks good

I thought that it might have a slight downward angle to it. Maybe an 1/8" of an inch . . . But I have not put a straight edge on it to check.

If it does, it will be deemed a feature (stern lift) rather than a defect. :ROFLMAO:

Looks good, and after the bottom paint goes on and motors installed, folks will be looking at the motors

Ted, if it really bothers you, scuff the extension, mix up some gel paste, and spot fill the low points with a putty spreader. Then hit the extension with 330 grit, then 400, then 600 then 800. Then polish

Most of the imperfections should disappear

Not worried about the imperfections . . . there will be time in the next off-season to make things pretty.

Meanwhile . . . I checked in with my re-power guy and some of the parts for the re-power are coming later than expected, which gives me a few more days to do finishing touches.

Today was lower the boat onto the trailer day . . . It had spent the winter up off the trailer, but still over it. I had moved the trailer forward about 2 feet to address the tongue weight overage when I took the engines out.

Laying the trailer back down showed that the tongue weight was really low 350 ish. So, back up went the boat and the trailer was slid about 15" back. Tongue weight was still low, but better

The day was still young, so the next big thing to do was put the seat assembly back in(on) the boat. It is a fairly high lift and the seat is wicked heavy. Connecting the hinges is a nearly impossible task, which will be top of mind in the AM.

Some of the parts for the re-power are arriving later than expected. So, the boat will be going in on Thursday instead of Monday. This will give me a few more days to finish up a few things.
