Out on the water yesterday, going to grab a beer, and ran into a pod of dolphins. Our area is incredible, people get the wrong idea when they hear "river". It's really not like anywhere else that I've been before. A lot of them out this year, sometimes we'll get 100, swimming right around the boat. It's so cool.PXL_20260702_214518163.jpg

If your underway with a decent wake, they will dance in the wake

Yup, swimming all around/under the boat. Super fun in the skiff. The boy reaches over and can touch them

Gee, we don't have dolphins in our river ... only fresh water barracuda (musky):p

I come out of Gunpowder; Middle River or Seneca Creek are generally my fuel stops.

Generally not into the Bay, the salinity drops off once you get north of the Bay bridge. I was actually surprised to see them there. Decent sized pod too, coupla babies.
