My captain worked the 90s pinelands fire in NJ and the one a couple years back. In all his years he said he's never seen a fire move that fast, day or night. I can only imagine the ones up there.

I have watch training videos that talked about the pinelands of New Jersey. Gets ripping. When flame height gets to 10' stop wasting water you will not stop it.

MN department of health has stated worst air quality in state history. In the county I live in advised to shelter in doors, I shut down my air exchanger.

Air is better today than the day before without all the warnings. Texted an old friend today, I signed off his task book for crew boss on a boundary water fire way back in the day. He flies air attack now back seat the lead plane the water scoopers and retardant droppers follow. He told me the smoke is so bad that can not get close enough to the deck to drop effectively.

I flew detection fire spotting the last year of my career, when fire weather is active it is a rough ride bouncing around in a little plane for 6 hours.

Left the house this morning a 5:15 headed to the airport for my 9 am flight. I get into the airport go to check in and my flight was cancelled. I wasn't that pissed that I was not going to Orlando, cancelled the whole trip.

How about going on the site of a big box auto store that shows the part in stock at that store, you go there and it is not in stock. Then they say “we can order it”.
3-4 days plus shipping! YES, I really want to hear that BS.
It must be must my bad luck. Grainger advertises their products. Every time I have gone there “they have to order it” !

I ran into something similar the other day with an oil filter at Napa. I called ahead to check the computer said there were 4 on the shelf but there were none.

On friday I rang the bearing shop to get prices for pillow block bearings ,talked to Wendy ( knows her apples )

Went in on Monday ( 60 km trip ) guy at counter ( had trouble with him before ) ask if he can help , I explain the conversation with Wendy and this guy is taking notes , tells me Wendy is not at work today and he will tell her Ive been in and I should come back tomorrow ( he knows the distance involved ) .And then he just stands there lookin stupid at me
I actually had to tell him to "just go get the bearings" .....coz Wendy had told they were in stock

That's quite a contraption, looks like a honda engine off my pressure washer paired with a meat grinder. Should be unstoppable.

6.5hp gzang zgong gong ping pong honda knock off . Im sick of having to chop up fish frames to fit them in a mincer ....sorta defeats the point so Im building one big enough to just chuck them in whole and as ole Smokey said " there aint no substitute for cubic inches " so Im going big on the motor ....and I just happened to have that one laying about .

Well it will definitely go in easier than it came out just because now I know. I won't have to climb in and out of the boat to get the right sized socket and wrench. should be a less than 15 minute job just waiting for the temps to go down, afternoon sun is brutal where the trailer is parked. Funny my wife asked does this mean we can take it for a rip tonight? Nope the starter project came up before I completed detailing the inside of the boat. I need to take the boat into town and vacuum it and then wipe down the interior then it will be ready.

Get her to finish the detail while you Finnish the starter!!!....I know..wishfull thinking.....
