We launched the boat at about 9:00 am today. It was pretty windy, so not much to do but put the boat on the mooring. I put 0.3 hr on the clock, so it is out of its initial break-in phase. The next phase is going up to 2,500 RPM in a varied fashion.

The boat sits about 2" higher in the stern than I had anticipated. The static trim appears to be 0.9˚ (just under 1 degree upward) . . . assuming the deck is parallel to the keel. I can probably check that by going off one of the stringers in the bilge.

The boat will need an initial cleaning from all the tree trimming it did while bringing the boat up/down our narrow road.

I had the boat out today for some more break-in running. I was not able to do too much, because one of the trim tabs was in the full down position and would not retract. Later in the day, I was able to fix the trim tab.

I got the engines up to 3200 RPM and a boat speed of 28 mph. and ran the engines at a variety of speeds for about 90 minutes. The boat has very little bow rise coming up on plane.

I also had to do a fair amount of cleaning from all the tree bits/vegetation that fell into while being towed.

I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I saw (heard) a Honda in the wild. That's a good thing.

Are these " new " engines a proven design?-----Just picked up a fairly new Honda 15 with defective cam pulley.-----Plastic pulley with metal hub cast in.-----The 2 materials separated.-----Just unbelievable in my opinion.

Honda V8 engine (BF350) was introduced a few years ago . It is their first V8 engine
