This is dad. This is the second time dad has driven the boat since the restoration. This is the first time dad has driven it at the lake since it was restored. Dad looks happy. What dad didn't know ia that I managed to sneak my sister and her boyfriend up to meet us with the wave runner. Dad was very happy. I also managed to sneak mom up, who hasn't been to the lake since before I was born. Dad was very happy. Dad had a great birthday week. Be like dad. (Photo taken before he learned everyone would be there, figuring it was just my boring body with him the week.)

It take your eyes about 30 minutes to fully adapt to darkness, as for the the image sensor sensitivity, it is less sensitive than the human eye, but does have the advantage of being like a pool, it can let the Photons of Light accumulate over time, which the Eye can't

well,
It was fully dark at ,I think about 1:30 am, and a short walk from the cabin to the pontoon and there is no lighting anywhere. I used the glow, not the flashlight, from the cell phone to walk.
but, I guess.

or my eyes suck.

and wasn't a timed exposure, just an iphone one and done.

Increasing the ISO, iphones and other cell phones do it automatically(DSLR and Mirrorless can be configured for it), doesn't increase the sensor's sensitivity. All it does is amplify what the sensor sees, it also amplifies any noise the sensor is creating.
