I think it is because it's listed in IL and MI so both sides of lake Michigan. IT's the dealer demo boat and has 14 hours on it.
So, is the dealer taking your boat (Chap 280) and trading it for the Formula 270. . . . Like an even swap?

Yes, doing it in a trade and getting rid of the Crap oh I mean Chap ;)
Going back to I/O
I think you and I are the only two sticking with IOs. For lake boating I just can give up the swim platform.
my good friend bought a 4Winns freedom H1 this spring. Was a left over 2025 zero hours. The dealer commented this was one of only two bow riders they sold this year . Only selling PWCs and pontoons

If buying new I would not order the extended swim platform, but it's used so get what they have

The motor is closed cool and uses the new Bravo cool fuel. I see in the future seeing if I can changed the cool fuel to old style cool fuel or other with return to tank. Least this boat has a lot more room around the motor than my old 27PC

Being the neophyte i am, i had to look up Cool Fuel and the internets tell me it uses raw water not closed system?

so you have both raw and closed?
The motor is closed cool including exhaust manifolds

The raw water system feeds water thru cool fuel, heat exchanger, power steering cooler and out exhaust elbows

The hoses numbered 36 are the connection to the cool fuel
CAT closed or open cooling is a very large spaghetti mess

Looks like I'll be ordering more manuals

sorry, raw water parts attached to the motor. closed system of course is to prevent corrosion so wondering about this raw set up. When will the parts corrode and are they easy to replace (and cheap), etc

Depends on fresh or salt water, I'm in fresh so don't worry much about corrosion. Impeller is cheap enough, everything else is not like Fuel cooler $2K,
