You won't see it until you start cutting i to the floor. The foam is in areas that aren't accessible through and lids or compartments.

Some pedestals have a center protrusion that requires a small hole cut out under them. The ones where the pole is part of the seat, and needs to slide down into the base. If you have that style, you would see the foam when you pull the base off.

Sorry, I derailed the thread a bit with my short guy talk. Luckily, I can just hide behind someone bigger until it blows over :)

Hijack away lol.

So I decided I may as well cut another hole in the deck because, yeah, why not? :p I measured out the half-way point from side to side and about 400mm or so from the start of the bilge area. What may not be clear in thie photo is the 30mm of water either side of the sringer that has been there for however long it has been there. The stringer rot is obvious, and I can't help think the person I purchased the boat from had to know about it after having the transom replaced. I removed about 10 litres of water using rags to soak it up, but I am sure there is more there. Until we get decent weather and I can elevate the front of the boat, I won't be able to fully dry out the cavity.

I realise I will have to replace the stringers and the deck, but I am really hoping if I can stop the leaks, perhaps I can get a handful of seasons out of it before taking on that big job. I just want to get out on the water so badly! ;)

You can wish and hope in one hand, while bailing the water with the other.

Looks like it's time to build a cradle and remove the deck and stringers
