Re: V4 90 No Spark
In all probability, it is a solid state electronic ignition setup. You need to obtain a service manual for the engine to aquaint yourself with it in order to avoid any expensive mistakes.

Look on the port (left) transom bracket (bracket that bolts engine to boat) for a small plate which will have the "Model" and "Serial" number on it. There may also be a core plug on the top port portion of the powerhead near the head gasket that has those numbers on it.

We need the "Model" number in order to identify the engine.

In the meantime, remove the spark plugs, rig up a spark gap tester whereas you can set a 7/16" gap. Have one end of the tester wires connected to a spark plug boot terminal, the other wire from the tester to as powerhead ground.

Crank the engine and observe the spark. If no spark, or if the spark is weak, disconnect the main RED electrical connector at the engine. Now using a small jumper from the battery terminal of the starter solenoid to the 3/8" nut terminal of the solenoid that engages the solenoid (not the 3/8" ground nut), crank the engine again and observe the spark.

If you now have spark, the usual problem is that a short exists in the ignition switch, in which case replace the switch. If still no spark, it's usually a case that either the engine is cranking too slow or the stator under the flywheel is faulty.

That terminal block with its five terminals or so has nothing to do with the ignition. Leave it be until you understand the engines functions!
