Motor loses Power ?

OK im really going nuts with this i changed my fuel pump VRO and changed primer and filter but im still having problems when im in idle the but idles fine and when i give it throtle it is gtreat no problem , Now when i put the boat in gear and start to give it throtle she stallls out @ around 2000 RPM , if i baby the throtle sometimes i can get it past the 2000 rpm point and then i can open her up but it seems at first when i start to give it throtle it keeps choking out any suggestions or ideas please help thanks !!!

Since we have no idea of the make, HP or year of your engine we can't be much help, Slammer.<br /><br />In general terms, it sounds like it needs a link 'n' synch job and may have a sticking stator.

im sorry its a 115 hp johnson motor 1995 .

i checked it with a portable gas tank with quick connect and it ran for about five minutes then it started to stall again what do you guys think ?

Time to get a service manual for that engine. You'll have all the info you need to do that link and synch operation, along with other valuable information.<br /><br />Without it, you're working blind. With it, you'd have your engine running right pretty quickly.
