Re: If I rebuilt the boat can I get recertified?
Well,........... I'll take a Shot at it.... Even If I Know I'm Probably Wrong..........

Can I get the CG to recertify the boat or do I talk to the Motor vehicle devision?
Forget About It .........

Nobody is Ever going to Look at that little plate rivited to the boat.........

I have previously ran a 135hp Tower of Power on a little 1967 14' Glastron Jet-Flite,.... rated at 60hp...........
I ripped the tag off the hull,.. actually it was faded too bad to read,+ I sanded it off when preping for paint.......

I was also "Inspected" by the Local authorities,....All they wanted to See, was the C/G Safety Gear...... They Never even Questioned the fact I had this Monster Motor hanging off the back........
As a matter of Fact,...... I just last year, found a 150hp Tower of Power to put on that Same boat,..... It just needs a bit of a Rebuild to resurrect it(the boat, not the motor).....
Hopefully,... She'll Float again This Summer....... Depends on how much Energy I can squeeze out of My Lady's 15yr old Son...........

Ayuh,.... Well,... Maybe Next Year.........

The Starcraft in My avatar has a sticker that states it's rated for the 140hp that Was in it..... But, It's Now sporting a 205hp, 4.3LX,+ Nobody has Ever Questioned That Either.......

I'm SURE that somebody is going to come along,+ tell you that everything You've Ever Owned is going to be Sued Away from You if you install a Bigger than rated motor on Your Boat,.........

I Say Bull$h!t.................
