Substitute for OMC Adhesive M and Needle lubricant

I am doing the waterpump on my 120 evinrude, and I need to find these chemicals or suitable replacements? does anyone know what will work? Thanks.

Mimo, 3M #847 Gasket Adhesive is Adhesive M. Your dealer can order this. Some people are using rtv's such as Permatex Ultrablack for this but I don't know how well that works.

Generally on a water pump,nothing works better than silicone sealers.<br /><br />DHP

Actually meant I use nothing instead of silicone sealers on a water pump.<br /><br />DHP

ohhhh I was gonna get ya DHP 3M weather strip adhesive will work and is obtainable on the weekends. vasoline will work for needle bearing assy lube. what part of the water pump calls for needle bearing assy lube?

Not a bad idea to lube the impeller housing insert.But I confess ... I use OMC Triple Guard there.So actually,you did get me Rodbolt.<br /><br />DHP
