no spark

Last week I got my 1984 90hp Evinrude hot. Ended up melting the orange wires to the coils on one side. now I have no spark. Did I burn up my stator? I also did a compresstion check all cyclinders are at 120 psi. So that i feel is ok. Just no spark has me stumped.

Yes it could be a power pack but i have two of them. Wouldn't I still have power from the other pack?

You need to get a manual and follow the ignition trouble shooting procedure before you start throwing money at new components.

Okay, start with all the wiring. Make sure none of it is burned thru the insulation and grounding out. Make sure you have continuity thru all the wires.
