Re: 1998 115 in storage for six years...
DC

Hopefully you can run the fuel line out through the drain plug hole in the back of the boat instead of going up over the gunwale(Better draining on a down hill slope). I don't know if there will be enough fuel line to reach a container that would be sitting on the ground behind the boat to catch the syphoned gas. Might want to pick up some extra fuel line and a barb to splice it into your existing fuel line. I think the reference to a 6 gallon tank was for testing purposes. In other words, hook up a portable 6 gallon tank with fresh premix in it and use that to find out if the motor will run well. But that is neither here nor there, as you have to get the fuel out of the built-in tank no matter what. I would buy a couple of 5 gallon containers to syphon the old fuel into. Of course, you will have to have a plan to get rid of it as it is draining(Kinda hard to get 32 gallons into two 5 gallon cans). I don't have an answer for that one. Maybe drain 10 gallons, pinch off the drain line and take it to your local waste recipient if they will take it. Might have to call around to find someone who will take it. I have run small quantities of older drained fuel in my car before. But nothing that old, so I don't want to suggest you do that without knowing the state of the fuel and the effect it might have....
