Please note that the PICTURE UPLOAD function is not working. The iBoats Forum Moderators are working with the system administration folks at the parent company to get the issue resolved. Disconnect the shift rod and the bolts connecting the gearcase to the mid section and it should drop right down. Many have a bolt under the trim tab. A shop maqnual will be a big help.
As I stated in your first thread that was deleted ,the shift rod disconnect is located under the lower carburetor area.I also mentioned that you will need to have the engine in the tilted up position once you are ready to drop the lower unit.Make sure that you disconnect the shift rod before removing all of the joint bolts.This will prevent binding the shift linkage.
