Thank You for a such quick reply.<br />The serial number is : 9082741, and it was manufactured in Petit Rechain, Belgium, in 1975. The flywheel does not have any teeth on its rim for cranking motor, so I presumed that it didn't have stator for electricity producing. Hi again, I just bought the Faria tacho yesterday, and imediately hooked it the way You explained, but nothing happened. The light in the tacho works, though, but not rpms. The blue contact on the switchbox is connected to the magneto assembly, to the engine block (grounded)and to the kill engine switch. Maybe some of these wires arent ment to be there. I am going to check the tacho at the electronics repair, just in case. Again, according to the Seloc manual I got for the mercs, the blue is for the tacho installment, but i do not know what is the cause of that. Galvic
