Mark 30 lower unit back lash

Just need to know if any of you guys know what the back lash spec if any is for the lower unit. Have two complete units one with bad housing one with bad gears. THe two of them will make one good one.

Keep the shims with the units they came out of and you should be right on the money, you are actual shimming the unit to fit the gears (the gears and brgs. are + or - .001 the differance is in the hsgs.) so the shims go with the hsg. not the gears--Bob

Fwd is .003 to .005 backlash, prop shaft is .015 end play and Rev .003 to .005 back lash. Most places overcomplicate the shiming process for obivous reasons--Bob
