I bought a Bayliner 21.5ft for the outdtive and other spare parts. The boat is pretty much shot otherwise. Also got a nice tandem trailer which I needed.
Now I need to dump the boat and can't find anyone who knows anything on the subject. Anyone have a clue on this subject? I'm near Dallas, TX.

Beyond any doubt, the very best large-trash service I've ever utilized in my life is www.ebay.com

Take a bunch of pics, write a complete description, and list it with a $1 minimum bid with no reserve, local pickup only. You will be STUNNED at what people are willing to buy and how much they're willing to pay. And within 2 weeks, someone will come and give you cash to haul it away. Often times I sweeten the deal by offering a 6 pack of beer in the sale...works wonders.

And to think I used to actually pay people to take my junk....now thanks to Ebay, they pay me!

You got that right! Guess I didn't think there was enough quality left in the boat to make it saleable. Although, it will be on a nice single axle trailer with a new axle and new tires!! Worth the price of admission alone.

A good saw and a few hour's work and it will fit into any dumpster ! My grandfather did it to a 15ft tri-hull when I was a kid. One barrel at a time for a few months and it was gone.

List it for free on www.craigslist.com

Go to the Dallas, Tx link and list it under boats. You can add text and photos. Up here in the Northwest (Seattle/Portland) craigslist.com is really moving "used for sale boats" and its totally free.

Otherwise, call around the local fire departments and offer them a free practice hull to use.

You're own personal artificial reef? Would be pretty cool if you could legally do that.

In reading these posts, Bayliner seems to be bashed pretty well, along with OMC. I realize Bayliner is not top of the line, but we took it out and it ran great. Has new transom and lower drive as of last year. The boat itself seems solid and in good repair.
__________________________________________________
Greg are we missing something hear?
Or is the bayliner already junk after a weeks use.

Burn it Greg.
Let it dye a slow and painful death for the years of frustration it has been to someone.
:D

Take it to your nearest Red Lobster restaurant and dump it in the yard with all the other old boats!

Beat up your boat some more.

Haul it to New Orleans or thereabouts.

Park it on someone's house.

File your FEMA claim on a timely basis.

Your check should arrive shortly.

Take out insurance on boat.

Wait for boat to catch fire.

Collect insurance.

Insurance company will collect remains of boat.

Mark! Without an engine and I assume batteries, or other reasonable source of ignition, he'll be waiting a long time for it to catch fire. And if he helps it, that's fraud! Shame on you! ;) :D

Cut it up, save some of the patches for future repair work, dump the rest in the trash.
