Hello

I need a complete power tilt/trim unit for my 1984 115 Mercury i6 - serial 6524115. This is the "newer style" with one hydraulic ram. How can I find the part # to fit my engine. mercruiserparts.com have just the part# for spare parts, not the whole assembly. I have found one item on ebay - part# 99659A48. Will this fit my engine?

-M-

Re: Question - identifying part needed

When I look at the mercurypartsexpress site, I get part number 826729A08 POWER TRIM KIT for your motor.

Not sure about the number you listed from eBay, other than it is replaced by part number 818186A8 which is no longer available.

Re: Question - identifying part needed

Hello again

Thanks AMD!, but I dont think my question was clear enough - I dont have any part of the power tilt/trim. I just have one "shock absorber", and need to lift the engine with my (increasing) muscle power. In other words, I need the whole assembly. If I understand the drawings correctly, the part# above is just a piece of the assembly.

-M-

Hei Hr Norge!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Outboard-Merc...587290367QQcategoryZ15271QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Lykke til med søket.

You should be able to get a million of them on Ebay... Just look for one 84-90 or even newer if you can get the matching wiring harness and newer solenoids. Also you will need a trim/tilt switch for your shifter.
